Stephanie Helfert attended medical school in Vienna at the same time as receiving formal training in classical homeopathy. She came across the Vienna Vaccine Safety Initiative while searching for a subject for her diploma thesis, which could teach her how to address potentially controversial topics with her patients in the future. Stephanie joined the team conducing the vaccine perceptions survey in. Vienna, Austria, during her 4th year of medical school. Her focus was on the interaction between physicians and parents, and the question how this relationship might affect parental attitudes towards immunization. Stephanie also wrote a review article on the history of the anti-vaccine movement.
