PEDSIDEA is a digital innovation project. PEDSIDEA stands for:

Partnering for Enhanced Digital Surveillance of Influenza-like Disease and the Effect of Antivirals & Vaccines (PEDSIDEA)

PEDSIDEA is part of the ISARIC.org network.

PEDSIDEA uses an innovative, scientifically validated digital tool, the VIVI ScoreApp, to monitor disease severity consistently across people. providers and places. 

• in community clinic networks.

​Patients are screened for flu-like illness or acute respiratory infections in the waiting room area and tested for flu and other viruses at the point of care. At the same time, patients receive their severity score using the VIVI ScoreApp.
This gives their provider the information they need to take the right decisions.

• in inpatient settings.

Hospitals are using the VIVI ScoreApp at the time of admission and to track a patient’s status over time. This greatly improves quality of care in busy emergency rooms and intensive care units. It also helps to better understand host factors and the 'real-world' effectiveness of preventive and therapeutic measures.

• at home.

​We empower citizens to keep track of their own symptoms and those of their loved ones (VIVI ScoreApp).
This is particularly important during a pandemic, but it also helps to understand how COVID-19 or influenza affect you.
