MedLit
Training for Safer Use of Medication & Improvement of Health Literacy
MedLit is a three-year ERASMUS+ collaborative project coordinated by the Vaccine Safety Initiative (ViVI) that aims to strengthen health literacy and empower people to make informed decisions about their health.
Rather than addressing vaccination in isolation, MedLit places vaccines within the broader context of the safe and appropriate use of medicines throughout life. The project develops evidence-based digital learning resources covering topics such as vaccination, responsible medication use, antimicrobial stewardship, infection prevention, and effective communication with healthcare professionals. By bringing these interconnected topics together, MedLit promotes pharmaceutical literacy and supports informed decision-making among patients, parents, caregivers, older adults, and healthcare professionals.
Together with partners from Germany, Greece, Cyprus, and Poland, ViVI is developing an innovative multilingual learning platform and educational resources that will remain freely accessible beyond the lifetime of the project.
